Share 5280 as a resource with students who could benefit from attending

We all share the same goal: helping students find a path to learning and success. For young people navigating substance use, 5280 Recovery High School offers a safe place to grow academically and personally.

Beyond our recovery-focused program, we work closely with local mental health, recovery and community wellness organizations to refer students and families to the resources they might need outside of school.

Information about school funding

Transferring a student to our school won’t negatively impact your school’s funding. In 2024, Colorado passed the Substance Use Disorders Recovery Bill, or SB24-048, a law that allows districts to include students in their October Count even if they transfer to a recovery high school before the count date.

That means if a student transfers to 5280 Recovery High School before October Count, their original school and district will still receive funding for that student.

By partnering with 5280 Recovery High School, schools can ensure students don’t fall through the cracks while also maintaining vital district resources.
