Join Our School
5280 Recovery High School is a free, public charter school, and students can directly enroll through the school at any time throughout the year. Because of our unique program, 5280 does not participate in Denver Public Schools’ SchoolChoice enrollment process. Please use the form below to express your interest. We will then follow up for a tour and conversation to see if your student would like to formally enroll.
This form is applicable for current high school students and for 8th graders interested in enrolling for 9th grade. Students may enroll at any time throughout the year, as long as they are in grades 9-12 and age 20 or younger. Students do NOT need to live in Denver to attend our school; many of our students come from the greater metro area.
5280 is committed to providing equitable access to all students and families seeking enrollment. In the event that the number of applicants exceeds our school’s capacity, we will follow Denver Public Schools’ (DPS) official lottery process to determine enrollment placements. This process ensures fairness and transparency and aligns with DPS guidelines and timelines.
After you complete this inquiry form, we will schedule a tour for you. During the tour, prospective students and their parents/guardians will meet with at least one member of our recovery team and they will ask you questions. Please be honest and open! It’s important that we get correct information in order to meet you where you are. Similarly, you’ll talk with our academic team about your educational needs, including IEPs and 504s. If our team determines that you’re a good fit for our school, we will work with you to start the transfer and enrollment process.
